Sliimy - new MTV star

It seems that we have a new pop star discovered!
"Sliimy's music has a sunny, literate charm, imbued with an innate tunefulness that shines through in his buoyant pop arrangements and lovely singing." Sliimy was nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award for Best French Artist (along with former Buzz On subject David Guetta). If you like Phoenix, Lily Allen or Mika, you should appreciate his creation.

About Google Wave

I've written about Google Wave already in the blog, however let me remind you what this service is.
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more - like some kind of server.

Now Google invites developers to test its updated Wave, which marries realtime communication with natural language tools. Google also has asked developers to create their own APIs for the Wave offering.

The new technology lets users create a "wave" and add people to it. Members of a wave can use richly formatted text, photos, gadgets and feeds from other Web sources instead of having to use just "plain vanilla e-mail," as the creators call it.

Internet Explorer 6 turns into the Google Chrome

Windows Internet Explorer (IE), formerly Microsoft Internet Explorer, is the primary graphical web browser developed by Microsoft for the Windows Operating System. It was launched on 1995.
Not many people use it now, but for those who cannot switch to another browser, Google developer found a solution. Chrome Frame is a new browser plug-in developed by Google to give you a Chrome browsing experience inside of Internet Explorer. So Chrome Frame turns IE into Chrome.
Chrome Frame will work with IE6, IE7, and IE8 on any Windows-based machine.

The new Palm Pre is coming

Here the another one iPhone competitor's coming! This is a thinner, smaller smart phone model called the Pixi, part of its effort to turn itself around.

With the Pixi's launch, Palm said it was cutting the Pre's price to $149.99 with a two-year service agreement with provider Sprint Nextel Corp. and after a $150 instant rebate and a $100 mail-in rebate. The Pre previously cost $199. The move makes the Pre more competitive with the iPhone, which starts at $99.

House MD is coming back!

If you're fan of Gregory House as I am, you probably know that we'll enjoy the 6th season from the 9/21. Personally I can't wait for this!

Now let me remind you who is who in this TV show )))

HOUSE is the winner of three Emmy Awards, including an award for creator and executive producer David Shore and a lot of other awards.

DR. GREGORY HOUSE (Hugh Laurie), devoid of bedside manner and dealing with his own constant physical pain, uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. His behavior often borders on antisocial, but House is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts afford him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he thrives on the challenge of solving medical puzzles in order to save lives.
At the end of the 5th season he goes to the psychiatrical hospital to cure from his drug edition.

House shepherds an elite team of young experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries: plastic surgeon DR. CHRIS TAUB (Peter Jacobson); enigmatic "contestant" number Thirteen, DR. REMY HADLEY (Olivia Wilde); and enthusiastic, radical-thinking DR. LAWRENCE KUTNER (Kal Penn). He has a good friend and confidant in oncology specialist DR. JAMES WILSON (Robert Sean Leonard), but House maintains a somewhat volatile relationship with DR. LISA CUDDY (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator. Though the two are engaged in constant conflict over House's duties and unconventional behavior, even she would admit that his brilliance is worth the trouble. Neurologist DR. ERIC FOREMAN (Omar Epps) serves as Cuddy's eyes and ears on House.

Immunologist DR. ALLISON CAMERON (Jennifer Morrison) and intensivist DR. ROBERT CHASE (Jesse Spencer) are former members of House's team and no longer have to answer to him now that Cameron heads up Emergency Medicine and Chase works in Surgery at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.
The final of the 5th season was devoted to their marriage.

YouTube offers movies for rent

The most popular online video site YouTube is about to deal with some major movie studios about renting movies to users by streaming the movies over the Internet.

It would the first time this video site would charge its users to watch videos.

YouTube, which is owned by Internet search giant Google Inc, has held discussions with Lions Gate Entertainment Corp, Sony Pictures, a unit of Sony Corp, and Time Warner Inc's Warner Brothers about online movie rentals, the person said.

In many cases, the movies would be available for rental for a fee in a system similar to Web rental programs from Apple Inc's iTunes, Netflix and Amazon.com with newer movies. YouTube would likely charge a similar fee around $3.99 a rental.

"We hope to expand on both our great relationship with the movie studios and the selection and types of videos we offer our community," said YouTube spokesman Chris Dale.

YouTube owner Google has come under growing criticism from Wall Street analysts and investors concerned the expense of serving millions of videos to users around the world everyday is costing the company more money than it earns from advertising.
