Steve Tyler leaves Aerosmith

You won't believe but this hard rock monster is going to split! I was grown up with their Get a Grip but their discography is much larger than this one album.
The band was found at late 1960s and it released 16 studio albums and 21 singles.
In addition to recording and performing music, Aerosmith has also been involved with films, television, video games, and music videos. In 1978, the band starred as the "Future Villain Band" in the film Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Later, when the band resurrected itself in the late 1980s and 1990s, Aerosmith made further appearances, including the "Wayne's World" sketch on Saturday Night Live in 1990, the "Flaming Moe's" episode of The Simpsons in 1991, and the film Wayne's World 2 in 1993.
The band has been the subject of several video games including Revolution X in 1994, Quest for Fame in 1995, and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, in June 2008. The band has also made over 30 major music videos, and released seven home videos or DVDs.
Aerosmith's is the winner of numerous awards.
So, maybe thigs are not so bad and they really need to have a rest?

This Is It

Michael Jackson's new posthumous concert film, “This Is It,” came out Oct. 28, giving his millions of adoring fans a glimpse into what the man was really like. Edited down from hundreds of hours of footage of his rehearsal at the Staples Center for his “This Is It” tour, and directed by Kenny Ortega, “This Is It” just shows both what a spectacle Jackson’s 50-date stint at London’s O2 arena would have been but what Jackson was like as a performer, a musician and as the King of Pop.

"This Is It" saw opening weekend ticket sales in the U.S. and Canada rise by 9 percent from initial estimates to a total $23.2 million, according to final studio figures on Monday.

The movie has made another $69.5 million internationally since its Wednesday opening, up from an original box office estimate of $68.5 million, film studio Columbia Pictures said.

In total, the movie has made $103.9 million at worldwide box offices, said Columbia Pictures, the Sony Corp division that paid $60 million for the video used in the film.

"This Is It" follows Jackson during his final weeks of rehearsal for a planned series of 50 shows in London.

The "new" Michael Jackson's song appears to be not so new

Just after the first posthumous single "This Is It" was released, it appears that tune was written 18 years ago an obscure Puerto Rican singer.

Moreover the co-author of that tune, "My Way" songwriter Paul Anka, threatened to sue Jackson's estate for proper credit and his share of royalties.

The administrators of the estate quickly acknowledged Anka's claims and granted him 50 percent of the copyright, a potentially massive payday for the 68-year-old Canadian crooner. And an equally massive loss for the estate.

"They realize it's a mistake, they realize it's my song, they realize it's my production of his vocal in my studio and I am getting 50 percent of the whole project, actually, which is fair," Anka said in a video posted on the TMZ gossip Web site.

Sliimy - new MTV star

It seems that we have a new pop star discovered!
"Sliimy's music has a sunny, literate charm, imbued with an innate tunefulness that shines through in his buoyant pop arrangements and lovely singing." Sliimy was nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award for Best French Artist (along with former Buzz On subject David Guetta). If you like Phoenix, Lily Allen or Mika, you should appreciate his creation.

About Google Wave

I've written about Google Wave already in the blog, however let me remind you what this service is.
Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more - like some kind of server.

Now Google invites developers to test its updated Wave, which marries realtime communication with natural language tools. Google also has asked developers to create their own APIs for the Wave offering.

The new technology lets users create a "wave" and add people to it. Members of a wave can use richly formatted text, photos, gadgets and feeds from other Web sources instead of having to use just "plain vanilla e-mail," as the creators call it.

Internet Explorer 6 turns into the Google Chrome

Windows Internet Explorer (IE), formerly Microsoft Internet Explorer, is the primary graphical web browser developed by Microsoft for the Windows Operating System. It was launched on 1995.
Not many people use it now, but for those who cannot switch to another browser, Google developer found a solution. Chrome Frame is a new browser plug-in developed by Google to give you a Chrome browsing experience inside of Internet Explorer. So Chrome Frame turns IE into Chrome.
Chrome Frame will work with IE6, IE7, and IE8 on any Windows-based machine.
